Exploring the the lower southern tip of the Peloponnese.

We set off from Mystras early and drove the coastline across to the Mani Peninsula. This part of the Peloponnese is known for its history of marauders and pirates.

From Athens we drove over the amazing Corinth Canal which cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth at 6.5km long and 21.5m wide. Originally proposed in 1st century C.E it was finally built in 1883!!
